Please join us in honoring and celebrating Lindsey Dowell, Washburn Rural Middle School gifted facilitator, for being selected as a 2024 Kansas Master Teacher! Lindsey is one of only seven educators from across the state of Kansas to receive this award.

Established in 1954 by Emporia State University, the Kansas Master Teacher awards are distributed annually to a small selection of teachers who demonstrate the attributes of exemplary professional educators. The selection committee consists of representatives from the Kansas Association of Principals, the Kansas Association of School Boards, the Kansas State Board of Education, the Kansas Parent Teacher Organization, the Kansas National Education Association, and United School Administrators.

Lindsey will be honored at a banquet and awards ceremony on Wednesday, April 3 at Emporia State University's Memorial Union. Cheers to you, Lindsey! You are so very deserving!
